WHAT THIS IS
A different kind of acupuncture — gentle, attentive, and deeply experiential
Cancer Care Support
Cancer support is a core part of my practice. Drawing from training with experienced Oncology Acupuncturist Clinicians and alignment with National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) principles, I offer a safe, compassionate space for:
Managing chemotherapy & radiation side effects (nausea, fatigue, neuropathy, hot flashes)
Easing treatment-related pain and anxiety
Supporting emotional balance during diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship
Gentle protocols (including Dragon & Ghost points) traditionally used to help release stagnation and restore vitality
All sessions are conducted with oncology-sensitive precautions under licensed supervision. Acupuncture is used as a complementary therapy alongside your medical team’s care, never as a replacement.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Simple, calm, unhurried Acupuncture, Herbs, Moxa, Tui Na, Gua Sha, Medical Qigong, Art & Sound Therapy.
Settle
We’ll talk — what brought you in, how you've been feeling. Strictly confidential, no pressure.
Support
We’ll place needles, do Tui Na, maybe moxa or cups, you’ll rest. Most people feel deeply relaxed.
Attune
We’ll reflect. Effects can be subtle and build over time. We talk together about what you notice.
Clinical Focus
Kevin Songer
I’ve has spent my life studying living systems. A botanist by training, I’ve spent decades paying close attention to how living things grow, adapt, and find balance, the same questions that drew me to energetic medicine and Qigong, a practice of working with breath and movement to cultivate qi.
I am currently a senior student clinical practitioner, clinical internship training toward licensure working with Traditions in St. Petersburg, Bridge Community Acupuncture in Largo, Dragon Rises School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Bradenton and Sloan Kettering’s Cancer and Acupuncture educational program . I also happen to be an environmental lawyer & a YOQI® Certified Qigong Instructor, Certified Sound Bath practitioner and a nature artist.. Sessions with me are conducted as supervised clinical experience under a Florida-licensed provider. I’ve called my practice DuVuDu Acupuncture; come see me ask about the name.
